I am an enthusiastic and dedicated Master of Science, Mechanical Design Engineer with 30 years of hands-on experience developing and industrialising products within technically and regulatory demanding industries including subsea, marine, defence and medical.

My background spans design & product development, rapid protoyping, verification & qualification, supplier development, New Product Introduction (NPI) and industrialisation — all phases from early concepts to serial production.

Global collaboration and supplier development

A significant part of my work has involved collaborating closely with engineering teams, manufacturing partners and suppliers across multiple regions and cultures. This has included both remote collaboration and extended on-site work managing teams and suppliers in various countries, including China, India and Canada.

I have extensive experience identifying and evaluating suppliers, performing technical audits, supporting manufacturing setup and establishing and facilitating a practical collaboration and transition From R&D to production environments.

Design, Verification & Qualification

I thrive when I can contribute in early conceptual design, rapid protoyping and engineering testing, but I do also have long experience in, and appreciate, design verification planning and executing test and qualification programs for products used in demanding environments. This ensures both general robustness and quality as well as regulatory compliance to a range of industry specific rules.

Industrialisation & NPI

I have experience from transitioning several products from R&D environments into stable serial production, including selecting manufacturing processes, supplier coordination and executing New Product Introduction processes.
